Experienced Representation in VA Disability Law
Our attorneys bring focused knowledge and years of experience in veterans disability law. We pursue appeals at every level, from VA regional offices to the Board of Veterans Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims ( USCAVC). With our broad background in criminal defense and civil litigation, you have true courtroom veterans fighting for you.
Several of our attorneys and staff are military veterans as well. Founding attorney John Stevens Berry Sr. is a former JAG Officer and a Vietnam War veteran who earned the Bronze Star. John S. Berry Jr. served as a Company Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom and also served in Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia. Suzanne Kaufman-McNamara retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, is the mother and sister of combat veterans, and is active in Grace After Fire and other outreach efforts for female veterans.
Nationwide Advocacy for Injured Veterans
The Berry Law Firm proudly advocates for veterans suffering from acute injuries incurred during military service or coping years later with the physical or psychological aftermath. Our collective experiences as soldiers, Marines and Airmen, combined with our background in litigation, give us a unique and realistic perspective of how battlefield trauma must be effectively presented in order for a veteran to receive just compensation for disabilities. Any successful legal argument requires a concise application of the law to well-articulated facts. Our experience practicing in veterans law, combined with our experience as service members, allows us to provide representation from a perspective of someone who knows the law and has experienced military service firsthand.
Our practice represents veterans of every branch of the U.S. armed forces, including the Coast Guard, National Guard and the Reserves. Because VA disability is governed by federal law, we are able to represent injured veterans throughout the United States. Our attorneys handle all types of VA claims, from physical injuries to mental impairments, with a special focus on claims for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The Berry Law Firm is committed to the highest standards of legal representation. Members of our firm have been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, and we have earned the AV Preeminent rating* through Martindale-Hubbell.
